Today, I have been interviewed by Lennon Shimokawa (Founder of DevAcademy) to talk about the Free Software situation in Peru and how to get involved in the GNOME and Fedora project since you are interested to do it! This was the preamble for this season:
The channel of DevAcademy has more than 7K followers and most of them are developers, so I think it was a great opportunity to spread the GNOME and Fedora word!
Our talk lasted almost one hour and it was transmitted on Facebook live to answer questions from the followers in real time. Lennon was worried about the profits and advantages that Linux can add to the business and how contributors will have a financial benefits in the their professional lives. Literary we mentioned if it is possible to live being a Linux person. Another topic in the table was the Free Software position versus the Open Source perspective, that lately there is a balance between these two. Finally I had the chance to invite people to participate in the GSoC and Outreachy programs for GNOME and Fedora. Please see the video here
The interview was made in Spanish and I hope that you can see it to add or clarify some points that could be still in the air. Thanks so much again DevAcademy, GNOME & Fedora
