Alex Irmel Oviedo Solis: Fedora Women's Day Cusco 2017 – Final Report

Fedora Women Day is a new weekend of celebration to help raise awareness and thanks for the women contributors across the Fedora Project. Fedora Women Day marks the anniversary of the Fedora Women team.

Under this new context, this event was held in the city of Cusco, mainly with the collaboration of Ana Rocio Cardenas Maitaanichio that coordinated with a new group of girls of IEEE whose interest is also in the promotion of women’s activities in engineering (in all its branches)! Group photo .

I was pleased that many people attended and I realize that the IEEE WIE group at the National University of San Antonio Abad del Cusco is numerous and jovial, I see that they are people (boys and girls) with a lot of potential and I think they would be some very active collaborators.

Without further ado I share with you some images of the event. Something I should remember is to get a better camera, the cell phone’s camera don’t work well at night 😉
